Guess what I scored at the Columbus Swap Meet.*UPDATED PICS*
My truck is a 69, but it has a '67 grill. I wasn't about to pay $300+ for the correct grill. However, I found one at the Columbus swap meet for $190.00...in perfect condition (needs polished, but very straight). I'll post pics later on.
What do you think guys?

I knew someone would say something about that...when I was taking the pictures, I thought to myself "Yep...someone will have something to say about the grill being on the wrong end..."Joe Kriston wrote:Good find for the money!....Except you installed it backwards...

Anyone have any tips for polishing this? I read the other thread on this subject, but that thread dealt with removing the annodizing. I don't want to make it a show piece...I just want to brighten it up a little. Should simply to to town on it with a buffer and aluminum polish?

In order to polish aluminum, you have to remove the covering (anodizing) that on it, otherwise you're just trying to polish the anodizing. Yeah, it's a lot of work....but the end result is definitely worth it.

So what happened to the '67 grille you replaced? And what kind of shape is it in? Just wonderin'...

I plan on leaving the '67 grill in until I paint the truck. Only want to take it out once. I may keep it as a spare if the unthinkable would happen.

I hope you find something too! I have the worst luck at finding stuff. When I do happen upon something, it's usually not for sale, already sold, a gazillion dollars, or something else.
