Rear springs
Anyone have a picture of a flex-o-matic spring installed on a truck? Just wondered what they look like.

Re: Rear springs
here is the diagrams of the flex o matics. http://www.fordification.com/tech/image ... -wflex.jpg
and here is a picture of zakts 69 with flex o matics installed. http://www.fordification.com/galleries/ ... at=0&pos=1
i do know the bed on the flexomatic trucks. had a dent made into the bed frame rail. so the flex o matics wouldn't rub hte bed becasue they are longer than the plain springs and sit up higher to the bed than the regular springs. not all hte trucks had that dent made into the rails of the floor. 67 didnt. but they di in 68. my 68 has flex o matics on it.

Re: Rear springs
I believe they are 2 piece, has a block between the overload (might be connect via the center bolt). I havent taken them off yet but will be maybe tonight to remove the axle and cut the perches off for a spare set for my sterling 10.25.

Re: Rear springs
Sorry my camera took a dump but here is a drawing of what my overload springs look like. They were off the truck when I got it,why? No idea.Have not tried to put them back on yet,but I want to because I am the one who hauls all of our steel targets when we go target shooting. We use ALOT of targets. Is there any photos or diagrams on these somewhere?I can't seem to locate any.

Re: Rear springs
i dotn see your picture. but usually the bottom leaf in zact picture is the one everyone always takes off for some reason. well before the lowering craze came in. anyway to put that one back on jack up the truck. undo both u bolts. let the axle drop down. put the overload spring back under the leaf spring. let the truck back down a little to mash mesh the springs back together. then put the u bolts back on. i think the u bolts are suppose to have even threads when you get down tigthening them down. i think there also may be some sort of clamp to hold the lower overlaod from moving side to side. you'll have to get two for each side and put them on so it doesn't want to move side to side.
