Oh yes, I'll definately be going to the Nationals!!
427 if you some help, I'd be willing to volunteer(when I'm not working). Because I plan on doing the same upgrade to my '71 in the future. That's the great thing about this site, usually if I'm having a problem, with a little reading, I find that someone out there has had the same problem and found the cure.
Anyway, every once in a while I make it up that way to the P-A-P and would love to come by and check out your ride.

full pressure goes to the front and the adjustable one goes in line to the rear. it just makes it so the rear brakes don't grab first. i got a wilwood one off ebay but thats just because i have a wilwood master and calipers on all 4 corners. i figure keep it all matching. heres some on ebay. the 28.00 will work fine thats in the ebay store.

Unfortunately I think your problem is probably that the font calipers are frozen (pistons rusted in place) could you move them before you put them on?
Although the proportioning valve is a good thing to get the right one set up, it will not effect the operation of the brakes to work, they just wont have the right proportioning front to rear by a small percentage (you wont tell this until you put the brakes on hard).
Does the brake peddle feel hard? If the calipers are frozen then once the brake peddle stops moving, because it can’t move the fluid anymore for the fronts, it will not let the backs get any pressure either so no brakes…

alright now we blocked the hard lines to the calp by doing this the mastercylinder is working we have a petal so the problem we think is the new soft lines to the calp or the calps them self what do you think

I doubt the NEW lines are bad... but check them to see if you see them bulge any...427blackpearl wrote:alright now we blocked the hard lines to the calp by doing this the mastercylinder is working we have a petal so the problem we think is the new soft lines to the calp or the calps them self what do you think
I think you have an air pocket still stuck in the calipers.
Your not loosing / using any fluid correct?
EDIT: be sure that the bleeders on the calipers are pointing up in the highest position. I have seen some calipers that can be bolted either side and one way puts the bleeders down instead of up and you will never get the air out of them... Not sure if this is possible on these as I haven't done this mod on mine yet. (It's on my list though)

re: brak conversion on 68 with 73 stuff
no bulges in the lines, bleeder is up, the only fluid we use is the fluid that comes out when bled out, we will try some old calps tonight
