In 1988 we went from front bumper to rear bumper overhauling everything. Since the major work I've conducted all the maintenance on it until October of 2006 when I purchased the truck. When we overhauled the engine in 88 we changed it from a 360 to a 390. Replaced the factory 2bbl. manifold to a Edelbrock perfromer and 4bbl. setup. Put dual exhaust with factory manifolds and Mallory unilite ignition. I've just recently pulled the engine to rebuild the entire front end. I've cleaned the engine to paint and found the bearngs down to copper so I plan on building it again. I'm just drooling over the options and how I want to build it this time, Demon carb, performer rpm manifold, headers, etc. etc.
Sounds like you got a good rig there and a plan to have some fun with it

If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...
