I have a 68 F100, converted front to disc with 74 spindles and calipers, I order brake booster with new master cylinder. My question is, do I need proportioning valve or combination valve specific to the 74 set up or can I get an aftermarked prop valve and put it on the rear line only and adjust how much brake goes to the rear and have the discs directly to the master cylinder?
Thanks

You can use an aftermarket one to adjust front/rear biast. You will need a splitter for the front.
Any distribution block from 73-79 with disks will work if you want to use a stock peice.

re: Brake question
If you use the aftermarket style you will also need residual valves which hold a small amount of pressure in the calipers so that your pedal throw is still short. And there are 2 lb and 10 lbs style valves and each one goes with a specific type of brakes (disc or drum) but right now i can remember for the life of me which is which!!!!!

re: Brake question
The residual valves are already built-in the master cylinder. Now you have to get the correct mc (for front discs or drums) in order to get the correct valves.
