5 Speed for 410 FE

Post by HOWDY69 »

I am thinking about puting a 5 speed manual behind my 410FE. Does anyone have this setup with a 390/410/428? My C6 needs a rebuild and I would like better gas mileage.

how about adding this

stock 5 speeds are not super strong and an adaptor kit could cost alot.

do you just replace the c6 tailshaft housing with that? Would it work on a FE c6 and a 460 c6?

all c6's are the same except for the bellhousings. i am not sure but i think most gearvenders will bolt up to ant standard automatic transmission with the right brakets. i would check the part numbers, email the guy and look for some info on the web. i like standard transimiison but woudl like to have a gv if i have an automatic. i bought a 6 speed for my truck but i have a stroked 351 w. not sure if they have them for 6 speeds but i do know thay have them for 460's. ddperformance is where i got mine.
