c6 steering column?

Post by import600 »

is there such thing in later models fords? i have a 429 c6, and i'm not sure i want to cut a hole in my floor for an aftermarket shifter. I'm looking for a steering colum with and auto shift and no power steering.. is that possible?

thanks

If you can't find one, you can easily 'build' one by simply using a manual-steering steering column shaft. Any shaft clear back to '67 (and maybe '65) will fit right into the later column housing...it'll just extend out the bottom of the column housing a few extra inches.
