building center console,

building center console,
im building a center console for my truck, to go inbetween the dash/transmission hump/ and the seat, its going to come down from the dash, and then come level, ur just a bit higher then the level of the seat, have 2 drink holders, and have a spot for a radio/cd player, my cb, and gages(oil pres, water temp, amperage), its gettin made out of plywood, and then covered in "luan" and probably a black ebony finish, ill post pix as i go.. any other ideas are welcome

Good place to mount any toggle switches, too, should you find yourself incorporating them in your truck.

I hope you guys keep us posted...Before this summer I want to completely redo my interior--the original is getting worn out...I'd like to maybe get some buckets and a console out of a '70's era Ford....Something to put a CD player and some speakers in,and what the heck,cup holders and change holders for the toll booth...Another thing I considered was going all out and putting power windows in,with the switches in the console...

binder56' u got the right idea, i already have the cardboard sides done , ill have pix up soon, but i think its gonna look awsome with the rubbed ebony finish .. ill make drawings with dimensions on so you guys can copy/ get ideas or a baseline to start ur own
