Rear Bumper
I'm wanting to change out my rear bumper to a sport bumper. Who makes the best aftermarket, or should I try (with some luck) to find a used one??
My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am!

Re: Rear Bumper
Better off with a repro.. OEM rear contour bumpers are like hen's teeth.
.. best start looking for OEM brackets or sourcing repro brackets.

Re: Rear Bumper
The brackets cost almost as much as the bumper! I lucked out and bought a set of SS brake lines, a new aftermarket bumper and repro brackets for $200! A former member lives in my area and was selling everything.

Re: Rear Bumper
You should put your location in your Profile...it might help you out in the future when you're buying or selling parts. Someone could see at a glance that you're fairly close and could help you out with what you're looking for. I've got two OEM Sport bumpers with original mounting brackets, but that won't help you if you're too far away.

Re: Rear Bumper
Well, if you feel like you would be up to making a road trip a few hours north some time, PM me for details. I'd probably make you a deal on one of them.

Re: Rear Bumper
Sounds like you may have a solution, but in case you are still considering... I have purchased a couple different bumpers from LMC and been very disappointing in their quality. The "metal' is very thin gauge. Original parts seem to be the way to go if at all possible.

Re: Rear Bumper
I am in western Ks also. I have several of those sport bumpers. I don't like them as I am always pulling a trailer or something. I take them off and put on heavier bumper. John 620 770 1398
