I just put one in 6 months ago, and to get my horn on the grant wheel to work correctly, I had to actually solder a wire to one of the mounting bolts to provide the neg. ground for the horn. That was the only jury rigged thing I had to do. Email me if you got any questions on it.

It looks pretty straightforward. I just took a Grant off of mine and here are some photos. I'm still trying to get rid of it; I'd like to trade for a three-spoke in good shape (no cracks).

That is a nice wheel Jor.

I have a 3 spoke wheel but it is like many other wheels and is cracked all up.

Wish I had a nice one I would like to have that wheel of yours.

jor: I bought a very nice black 3-spoke wheel on E-bay last year for my project, but then ended up getting a tilt column with cruise, so I'll be using the matching wheel with it. The three-spoke has one or two VERY TINY micro-cracks in the hub, but it's most definitely the nicest one I've seen that wasn't NOS. Interested?

The other thing I had to mess with on my Grant wheel install was the turn signal cancel. It kept braking the plastic cancel in the col. after a left turn. Seems the pin didn't line up right. Not sure if I've fixed it or not as I haven't replaced the plastic cancel thing yet.

Jor and I have struck a deal on his Grant steering wheel....I agreed to his price as long as he threw in the rest of the truck  ...

Seriously, his was mounted in place of the old 3-spoke wheel...Mine is a '72 two-spoke...Does anybody know if there will be any mounting problems putting his on mine?

Well, there MIGHT be. I'm not sure how the Grant's adaptor kit is set up, but '71-'72 trucks have a steering column shaft that's got a little extra meat on the end of it. You might have to grind down the end a bit:

Hey Joe, if I remember correctly, there are either 3 or 4 different kits for our bodystyle trucks. One for 67, one for 68, one for 69 and one for 70-72 or some combination like that. I know my kit for my 67 didn't really work right on my 68. Minor differences, but still differences. I would check on the Grant site to be sure.
