cab mounts
i have begun to cut up the 78 cab i have before it goes to the scrap. i thoght i would cut off the cab mounts and save them for someone who needed them. where should i cut them at how much of the cab should i cut off with it? do i cut the bottom bracket out with the floor also attached or just vut the front of the mount off. and let the next guy worry about getting more if they need it. the floor is no good. but the mount that comes from the floor to the mount itself is good. i wish i could post apic but i still don't have an extra 20.00 for a new camera. the mounts on this truck are the same as on our trucks if anyone wanted to know by the way. from what i found out.

I think keiths option of taking atleast 1-2" of floorpan out with it will work.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

re: cab mounts
While you have the floorpan cut out, I would remove the cab mount to frame brackets as well if they are good. It seems like someone is always popping up on here that needs them.

thats right! every time I advertise a new parts truck with them on it, nobody wants anything. but as soon as I scrap the truck, a couple 2 or 3 things come up that I had and no longer do.flyboy2610 wrote:While you have the floorpan cut out, I would remove the cab mount to frame brackets as well if they are good.
