Been looking for a while and can't locate a stock rear step bumper. Does anyone know of a source for one of these?
Thank you.

Thank you. Looks like these don't have the stock bumper.Mancar1 wrote:Try LMC, NPD, etrailer.com, or u could do a google search.
I did find a 1976 F-350 2wd with a stock step bumper. I though I read somewhere that the frames might be different than a 1971. My question is whether a 1976 F-350 2wd step bumper will fit on a 1971 F100 2wd?

Re: Stock Rear Step Bumper for '71 2wd
Found a bumper, installed, sanded, and painted it.
I grappled with the decision whether to paint it or just leave it "weathered." Went for it and bought some spray paint from the local auto parts store — Rust-Oleum gray Rusty Metal Primer and VHT Wheel Paint in Ford Argent Silver. Sanded the bumper down and got the job done in about 3 hours. The new paint definitely brings out the imperfections, but matches a perfectly imperfect truck.

Re: Stock Rear Step Bumper for '71 2wd
I want to try to remove the dents from my step bumper (see above photos). This is a heavy steel bumper and I don't think hammering it alone will work so well. Would a torch work well, or is it just better to source one without damage? Any tips?

I think heat and a hammer may take most of that out. But only to the point that it could look distorted.
