locked out, missing knob

Post by max03 »

yesterday, I picked up a 72 f100 for an unbeatable price. the owner/seller, lost the key which wasn't a problem since I intended to replace the ignition switch anyway for safety precautions. any how, I noticed the passenger door was missing the knob, and locked after briefly attempting to open it. I tried to fish around the hole, in attempt to find the rod that goes up and down, hoping to pull it up, well.... it doesn't seem to be there!
so, my question is, how the heck do I get this thing open lmao. im like a youngster at Christmas, new toy and cant even play with it haha.

Fab up a "Slim Jim". I can pop it in less than three seconds.

ended up rolling down the passenger side window and removing the door panel, got inside and fished around for the little bar that's supposed to go up to the knob, found it and got it fixed good as new.
