New Guy in FL

Post by BeyerAutoSalvage »

Good Afternoon! I have lurked around this site off and on for about 4 years or so. My first truck ever registered was a 72 F100 LWB Fleetside in exquisite condition. I was 16. I killed that truck, and regret it all the time. It was original, and uncut anywhere, with the original Mag style hubcaps. I am not sure what the factory color was called, it was that green that was oh so popular then. I dropped it, painted it Canary yellow, raced it, beat the crap out of it, etc... and then parted it out after moving away. Now, 15 years later, I found another nice truck. I was hoping for the same, but this one is quite nice. Original 1969 F100 Short bed step side, in its original Cream colored paint, and nearly rust free. 240/6 and a C4. Runs great, but I am going to drop in a 300 with an AOD, and a 240 head with the split manifolds from an EFI 300. I am putting disc brake front end out of a 74 this weekend. We own a salvage yard in North Florida (www.beyerautosalvage.com) so the parts sourcing will be mostly Junkyard parts, except booster and m/c. Thank you to all who have helped build this site, and to all the great tech articles!
