Signal Cancellor - fix?

Post by alvald83 »

I just removed my steering wheel trying to fix my signal cancellor. I found that my steering wheel doesnt seat close enough to the plastic signal mechanism, to allow the metal cancellor piece on the steering wheel to engage it. Somehow i feel as though the steering wheel is as far in as it can go. Any ideas. [img]

loosen the two bolts under the dash on the column flange. grab the column and pull it up towards the steering wheel. re tighten the bolts. go out underneath the hood and on the center shaft of the column is a bearing with a bearing holder. loosen the holder and slide the bearing and bearing holder up as close to the bottom of the column as it will go. re tighten the bearing holder.
