Body Height Measurements

Post by cajuncannon03 »

Does anyone have body height measurements(original) for 68 F100, 360, 3 speed on column? I need front and rear, bought new springs (front and rear) and can't align. Truck looks higher than what it should be. Thanks.

I have a 67 F-100 with a 390 / C-6. Hd front springs and stock rear springs. If that will work, you want top of the rearmost bedrail to the ground, and top of the fender to the ground measurements?

Yes, any help would be appreciated, don't know if the springs I ordered are too tall. Before ordering another set from someone else I would like some measurements.

Thanks

One way to tell on the front is if your tires have positive camber then you definitely have longer springs in the front.

Bobby got them from LMC, coil spring p/n 45-2825, rear leaf p/n 45-2985. I can remove leaf from rear and fix myself, but front is the problem. Positive camber by 1"-1 1/2" , I can cold bend axle to align, but truck still sits high. Never thought when ordering, coil springs says V-8 in LMC, could cover 460 engine which would be too stiff for mine. Thanks for everyone's help.

Well, to the top front most portion of the fender I got 36 1/2" and at the rearmost point of the bed I got 46"...

Hope that helps...

I replaced my front springs with new Moog springs and initially had some positive camber issues but the springs are "settling" and the wheels seem to be coming back to spec. When I get my hood back on I think everything should be ok.
