Hello,
I have a 71 F250 with power drum brakes. My dash brake light remains on all the time. After cruising around this awesome forum, I have checked a couple of things out. No leaks anywhere, not low on fluid, and I have bled the brakes all around.
I bled starting with the back pass. side, back drivers side, front pass, then drivers side. No air was evident before I bled, but I thought I would just be sure. The truck stops fine, but I would really like to get the warning light working properly.
Can someone offer any ideas?
thanks,
Don Miller

Re: Dual brake warning light
The valve in the distribution block just needs to be recentered. It likely went off-center during a previous brake job and was just never recentered.

Re: Dual brake warning light
Thanks for the thread link. After repeated bleeding(6-7 times) the light went out. The trick is not giving up, although my wife( pedal person) almost did!
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
