Alignment Issue

Post by cajuncannon03 »

Just put new Crager S/S w/BF Goodrich Radial T/A' s on truck Friday, they attempted an alignment, could not get camber to adjust. I installed new coil springs on frame from LMC, tire place said either springs are too tall or too stiff, or I put alxe's on wrong side. I have c7ta-8-a on passenger side and c7ta-9-a on driver. Can someone check stamping on axle for me to confirm. If spring too tall, can something be done with them. They pulled down on front end with two men and camber came in green, it took about 1" of down force to come green. I have 68 f100, 360 engine, I also replaced 100 lbs intake with aluminum intake, that took 70 lbs or more off front end. Any ideas.

Thanks

On these I-Beams the only way to correctly fix camber is to cold bend the beams. There are a few alignment shops who still do it. I guess you could start cutting the coil springs but that's just a big guessing game if you're looking for exact camber alignment and that usually doesn't end up real well. :2cents:

Thanks guys for the response, looks like axle is correct. I think problem is coil springs, I will try to find alignment shop to correct camber issue.
