Post by tboy »

i have at 67 f350 and wonder how to get the correct vaccum brake booster and master cylinder. no matter what i do the brakes are just mush. an otherwise great truck is stabled due to this safety issue. can anyone help with this?

a booter wont help bed brakes. they will still be bad after a booster. the 67 is a one year only brake booster. you will want to find out what is wrong with your system before you start replacing parts. does the master lose fluid? or is it just hard to stop? maybe the brakes shoes need replacing or adjusted. if they are just too hard to push that could be a clogged line or something in the system. a booster will make the pedal easyier to puch but not stop better.

any suggestions on where to buy a vacuum booster for '67brake system? is it the same as for the F250? do I need to get the matching master cylinder too?
