mid 80 f700 box truck
the motor dosent run and the brakes are locked up is there any way to release them with the motor not able to run

air brakes? yes supply air to the air tank. hydralic brakes yes. pull the truck and see if they will break loose. also look for a micro lock in the cab somewhere and flip the handle. if none of that works you will have to try and remove the drums somehow.

They are DEFINITELY not electric...
Can you post a picture of the engine? We can tell from that what type of brakes you have.

If it has air brakes you just use the "jack" screw to release the service brakes spring.
