Neutral Safety Switch

Post by pltmgr »

I have a 68 that was originally a manual transmission. PO installed a C6. There is an NSS ( unwired) on the steering column but there is nothing on the column that would move the slide bar on the NSS. Looking at the exploded diagrams I may be missing part 7B097. Does anyone have an actual picture of this part or whatever moves the NSS slide? Thanks.

been searching in the electrical forum but did a search on the steering forum and found a pic. Now the question is where can you get one?

From my non-expert point of view, it might be easier to just find a whole new column instead of finding that small part, or just weld a tab to the column tube yourself.
