I.D i beam casting.

Post by gumbys69 »

I've look at the tech articals and seen and match up with i beams i got. the numbers are D5TA-9-GA-53/D5TA-8-48.
which are 75 f250 with disc, but my question is, what are the last two munber stand for?? Knowing that they are F250 are these i beams a 8 lug or five lug???? if they are 8 can i put a 5 lug rotor on?????

i got the set bear with nothing. i found that they came with either single piston or dual calipers, by comparing other pics on this sight its a single piston, any help would be great

thank you

andrew.

i beams are made for weight ratings on trucks. which is determined by king pin bore and what strength they were made for. the last two numbers will also be part of the part number and determine application of the beams. measure the bores to get the proper size king pins for them. they can be used with or for what ever spindles you can find that have the same bore to them as the i beams.
