Steering Wheels

Post by Bobaloo2 »

This may have been covered before, but: will the 66-67-68 car steering wheels fit the F100 column? I can get a nice wheel from a Mustang that beats ny cracked stocker with no horn.

Wow, I did not realize this was that hard of a question. I thought one of you folks would know.

I believe many other Ford steering wheels will physically bolt on so that you could steer, but you'll have problems with getting the horn to work and turn signal to cancel. Also, the steering wheel hub won't line up smoothly with the shift collar, meaning there will either be a large overlap on one side or the other. I suppose you could spend some time finding one that will have all the right characteristics to work on your truck, but it just seems easier to me to get another truck steering wheel and be done with it. :o
