hey guys..... can I put polished 17 inch dodge aluminum wheels from an 05' on a high boy ..........if not , why not??????

i know ford changed the lug pattern in 96 and 97 on the newer trucks and went to metric. i have no idea what dodge has done or when they did it. if they even did it.

I would check the back spacing also. Some of the newer trucks have way different backspacing than the older ones.

Probably can, you can generally get away with a fair amount of back spacing it seems like on the closed knuckle axles.

Can you test fit the wheels and tires you want before buying them? Of possible do that and make sure that they fit and don't hit anywhere.

The bolt pattern is the same, the back spacing will probably look rediculous like everyone else has said, but throw a tapemeasure on it.

The trend for the pas 15 years by automakers has been to increase positive backspacing every couple years to the point where cars are 100% positive now and trucks are getting there.
