What size are the stock rims on my F-100

Post by nedyahr »

Does anyone know the size of the stock rims on a 1971 F-100 Stepside Custom. I would like to get some of the Smoothie Wheels, but I dont know the size, bolt pattern and offset. I think they are 15" x 7" with a 5 x 5 1/2 bolt pattern, but what is the offset?

Thanks,
Donald

Actually the F100s (both 2WD & 4WD) got 15 x 5.5" rims. The F250's rims were 6" wide. I don't have any books here which gives the correct factory offset. However, if you're going with custom rims, that really doesn't matter anyway, since you're probably going to be going with a slightly wider rim and tire than stock, right? You'll have to figure up the offset that you want based on the tire size you want to use and the room available inside the fenderwell.

i think the stock back spacing is 4" ,that works good with 7-8" wide wheels, anymore and you might have clearance problems..

Plenty of people doing it.
