I do quite a bit of work to them so I can use Ford masters and bolt it right up. of the bigger smaller things I mill and tap all holes for SAE O-ring or NPT so I can run JIC lines.

Look like a nice and clean install. Did you shorten the rod to the pedal??

I put one in my unit… works good but had to change out that ford / Thompson pump.

Steve

I was curious about the pump, I am using the Mustang pump and it was designed to run a rack not a gearbox and Hydro. I dont have it running yet but I wounder if it is going to work.

As to the pedal, it lowered the non braking height of the pedal, but no I did not have to alter the rod to make it go on. I kind of like the lower pedal stance because I am tall and dont like my knee in the dash trying to brake.

I tried to run with the original Thompson pump but did run into some problems there. Lack of strong assist when it was hot but that was mostly a pre existing condition. Put on a Saginaw pump (with a remote reservoir) and that seems to have solved these problems.

The peddle is a bit jerky but I think that is with the hydroboost itself so maybe I need to rebuild it or get another one. it was with bothe pumps

In the end… I’m happy with the set up.

So what type of oil are you guy running in these setups??

I tried to run the Thomson pump as well. It did fare for the booster but the P/s box needed more. I switched to the Saginaw pump, with a remote reservoir.
