it has a bendix box and a round metal pump and a horn ring steering wheel.
Now my 79 has a ford box and a plastic pump and the smaller stock 70's steering wheel. everything on the 79 is new. its got about 1000 miles one a complete rebuild of the front end and steering (stripped it to the frame, all new parts, bushings, pump, box etc.) and while the power steering is excelent and tight and steers great, it isn't like the 69.
my question is what makes the 69 steer like a cadilac? Is it the metal pump, the bendix box, the big wheel or is it a combination of the 3 making the whole
system perform better?
