Air Shocks ?
Does anybody know anything about air shocks, my old truck had them when i bought it. But the previous owner placed the air chuck underneath the back bumper and oh course its broken off now,
So, my question is, Do they make a generic air line repair kit ? I can't tell what kind of shocks these are, they are are white with some numbers on them. No name brands etc.

re: Air Shocks ?
Yeah, you can still get those. Really all you need is the line, since you can reuse your old fittings. Here's a link to check out for Monroe air shocks, as an example:

However, you be honest with you, air shocks are old news. They do work, but at the expense of greatly-increased stress on the shock mounts. When you pump those up, a lot of the vehicle's weight gets transferred from the springs (where it's supposed to be) directly to the shock mounts, which aren't strong enough to carry large loads for periods of time. I'd suggest just replacing those air shocks with good gas shocks and then install an overload spring, if you're after added hauling capacity. I think you'd be happier in the long run.

or you can use an air-ride spring set-up. My '74 1/2 ton has those and it really helps in the heavy stuff

re: Air Shocks ?
My
on this matter is that I agree With keith as I have had experience with air shocks. I put a pair on my '77 Cheby Nova. And the first time the hose ruptured pow going down the road at 75 mph the shock on the driver side let down so fast it snapped the mounting bolts in two. Broke em off flush. And bent the Heck out of my Shock mounts. And I had even paid 60 for the pair.
So please for the love of your truck swap them as soon as you can!

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
