O.K. here goes it
I need to do some work to a 68 f250 4x4 steering column for my truck. it is not installed in the truck yet and is already stiff. I would like to pull the whole thing apart and replace any bearing that needs it. also i need to redo the turn signal switch wiring. I am putting it in a 70 and the clips are not the same. some of the wires are the same color. are there any diagrams available or rebild kits?

I would hit the wrecking yard and get the right harness and order a new signal cam. As far as the bearings try McGuires Bearings here in Tacoma WA. They seem to be able to get any bearing. They don't go by application. You will need to supply them with a number off the bearing and race. Or give them dimensions. Also at the wrecking yard get the bearing out of that shaft.

re: steering column repair help
well i got er apart, it wasn't as bad as i thought. it just has a couple of bushings that need tlc and a little grease. getting the freakin steering wheel off was the hardest part. i even tried with a puller but the threaded spots stripped through. So finally out of frustration i chained it between two forklifts. that did trick, i needed a new steering wheel anyway har har. Does anyone know where to find one?
as for the wiring clips i have them from the 70, i just need to decifer the different wire colors
with a schematic of I'll just have to blow the dust off of my multimeter.

You might check in the tech articles, as the only difference in the two turn signal switches is the connector and the color of a couple of the wires.
I probably have a fairly decent 3 spoke steering wheel around here someplace but no horn contacts.
