Looking for the NSS Clip on arm!

Post by SteveBrethouwer »

Hey gang, I've seem to have lost, the clip on arm, that actuates the NSS on my 1971 f-100, Column shift, I'm wondering if anyone has one of these they'd like to sell me, I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and would be more then glad to pay shipping fee's and your expense for the piece, I contacted several local Salvage yards and nobody seems to want to help, I think it's a shame that these Classics's have been scraped out, Please let me know , Thanks farmer

If no one else has one, I'm almost positive that you can get one from Dennis Carpenter.
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something.--Plato
Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???

That's not an oil leak :nono: That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!

My 1972 Ford F100 with an automatic transmission has been missing that neutral safety switch positioner thingy for awhile now, can you tell us it's part # and cost. Will the steering colum have to be completly removed and disassembled, or just dropped down a bit to install this part. How is it secured to the colum shifter tube, by screws, clips ??? Any close up pictures of it mounted in place. Thanks for finding a source for this part and posting the phone number for BoB's Truck parts, 951-681-1956

the nss can just be bolted onto the top of the lower column .(near the firewall) with 2 screws. and plugged into your regular wiring harness. unless someone has cut the plug off or made a loop in the wires. the tang that activates the switch just snaps into the column. inside of the hole infront of the nss.
