i am installing power steering into my 1968 f250 4x4 i am using a 1979 gear box and i have the slide bracket from a 1970 f250 2wd, can anyone send me some pics showing how their pump is mounted to their engine, and how their belt/pullys are routed, the truck also will have the a/c compressor mounted from the 70 2wd if this make a diff in the power steering pump location. any and all close up pics will help. also what year of a pump should i pick up as i need to buy a new one.

the power steerign bracket you have is for dealer a/c. so that diagram is the one you will want to follow.
this picture is of my 68 with a 390 instead of a 360 same setup though. ignore the bottom pulley on the right. it is missing a spacer so it isnt lined up properly. this is what yours will look like when you are doen though. as long as you put all of your spacers in the right places.
the only one thing i can say is. the pulley on my engine that isnt lined up has two different ones. one for the 68-70 and the other for the 71/72 slide style that you have. the difference is how thick the bracket for that pulley is. oh my power steering pump isnt in this picture. it was in the floorboards when i took this picture.

i didnt instasll it. but it has 1977 casting numbers on it. it is a 2wd box. i think it was added by soemone who knew a little abotu welding a piece of iron to the frame. mine is moutned outside the frame.
