what i have here is a 71 camper special factory a/c truck. the diagrams on the site show the factory power steering cooler for factory a/c trucks mounting to the bottom of the a/c compressor bracket. and the botls go into the compressor. the cooler that i have doesnt look right for this setup. what do you think? is the bracket on the lines wrong? or is this cooler the wrong one? if it is moutned the way the diagrams say its suppose to mount then the lines would curve under the a/c mounting bracket. and that wont work. i know the cooler stands upwards. or does the cooler mount on top of the comprerssor and the bracket on the cooler is on wrong some how?

Re: power steering cooler
Fordman, I can't find a clear picture of my cooler to show you. But I can tell you that my mounting bracket only has one hole for a bolt and that the hard lines from the cooler go strait out and don't curve like that. My set up is a 70 100 with factory a/c, 360 motor with ps. I've seen that set up before though, it mounts with the cooler facing down. Its a space saver for low/no clearence hoods like for cars and vans. It goes on the top side of the a/c compressor. Just telling you what I know, wich aint much. Hope it helps.

Hey Fordman,
Here's a pretty clear pic of the cooler that was on my '71 (now on the '68). It looks a little differen as far as the hard lines go.

Re: power steering cooler
im pretty sure it can be put on upside down. but that isnt the way the diagrams show it. so im not totally sure if it will hit the a/c clutch or not.
