Re: BRAKE BOOSTER QUESTION
i can only really speak o four trucks. they bolt on with two bolts. so you can reuse your master when addign a booster to our trucks. i do not know what your boosters are like. if they bolt on with four holes liek your master does or if it only uses two holes like ours. if it does you can bolt your master right to it and be done.

Re: BRAKE BOOSTER QUESTION
No, the Master cylinder need to be matched to the booster. there are differences beyond just the bolts & pattern. Things like diameter of the master cylinder and thrust length of the actuating rod. Not to mention connecting the power booster to your brake pedal.
Add Power brakes? You should get a booster/master combo then adapt the brakets to your firewall and then change the brake lines because the master cylinder is a dual unit.
I have never put P/B on a 57 F-100 but you may have some difficulty mounting it on the firewall because of your Clutch master cylinder.
Another consideration is to add power brakes just like they did back in 1957. Called hydroboost it fits into the brake line AFTER the master cylinder and bolts to the fender. No change to your original master is necssary.
This is how they added power brakes to 55-57 Thunderbirds.
