not sure whats going on!

I am having problems with my front-end, while driving down the road it is really squirrley and not very stable (i have to work to keep it on the road). when i go in corners is the only time i dont have to constantly correct the steering. i am running 295/50/r15's (WIDE TIRE) all the way around. i also have a set of 8" wide stock height tires in the shed, but no matter what tire i run it still has the wreckless steering. it almost seems better with the 295's on it. any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. i cannot drive the truck right now its too hard to control.

I have heard that bumps don't handle real good with wide tires with out front and rear stablizers.
I'm running 285/35 /16's on my '68 F250 and don't have any problems.
You might want to have the front end checked out real good.. could be about any thing

have you looked at the king pins and made sure everything is nice n tight and that nothings loose

No i havent checked anything yet, been waiting on some money so i can get my dreambeams and replace everything under there. i would like to take it to someone to have a look at it but i was hoping it would have been an issue i could fix myself. Im also just not to fond of someone else having thier hands on my baby.

get rid o fthe wide front tires and check the kingpins.

but if the wide fronts are the problem then why does it still do it when i put the narrow tires on

my guess is alignment. if its set without enough tow-in it will drive all over the place like your describing. another possibility is that they tightened the steering box too tight so theres no slack, you want just a little so that slight movements with the steering wheel dont run you in the ditch, or into traffic

ok well i guess this is my solution, i have a set of atlas 15-10" wheels with brand new tires for trade for a set of atlas 15-8" anybody got some? sorry i told yall wrong the tires on front are 265/50/r15 almost as wide as the 295's. but also a little shorter. and hopefully an alignment job soon.
