Anyone know of a good substitute for the rubber cup that covers the rear parking brake cable where it enters the backing plate? Mine are all dry rotted and was trying to figure out a replacement option.
I guess they aren't 100% needed there but i'm sure it's to keep the elements out.
Thanks,
CB

Re: Rubber Cups - parking brake enters backing plate
Cool question, my dent-side doesn't have any rubber boots.
It's all iron except for the little plug next to the adjuster.
Anybody got pictures? :)
{edit:}
Hmmm... you aren't talking about the rubber hose slipped
over the cable-housing/Bowden-tube are ya? :)
If so, I used fuel hose in a couple places to prevent metal
to metal contact on my parking cable housings.
But that prob'ly ain't it, that's too easy? :/
