front spring.. top mount...who sells

i took my front suspension springs of my 67 f100 today and on both sides the braket ( clip type thing that mounts with 2 bolts ) that holds the spring in place at the top of the spring were cracked...lmc...npd....both didn't have them....any ideas...thanks

Are they needed? I haven't had those on my pickup since the mid 80's. :)
The shock prevents the axles from going too far down to let the spring unseat.
I've always seen them as something the factory needed, not me. {shrug}
Building a show truck? :)

They are too common a part for me to chance going without, but I see the point that logically they are not absolutely necessary.

yes it is hard to imagine that the springs would ever move out of the top mounts. but just in case a bump in the road or something . i would rather my truck have them in place just to stop them from a act of god or something.

batterzazu...thanks for the offer........i went to the local junk yard today....and there was a bump there and i got them off of it along with a couple suspension bumpers.... i appreciate the offer though :)

Alvin in AZ...no show truck here..an original paint 67 that's really weathered, but clean...fun combo :)
