Spring and shackle bolts

Post by bjde0b »

These are the parts I need to clean up before I get the frame rolling again. There is a sleeve inside the leaf springs and the shackle. Do I need to cut this out? Will a new one come with the replacement bushings that I am buying? The bolts that held on the springs and shackles are worn down as well. Will these come with the replacement bushing kit?

I misplaced one of the coil spring cup and washer. If anybody has some lying around let me know. I will compensate you for your time and shipping costs if you will send them to me. I am going to look tomorrow to make sure I lost them. I am fairly organized with my parts so I am somewhat suprised.

that looks like a non flexomatic setup. my 67 is like that. i got these replacements at lmc truck. i have not started on mine yet. i would get new botls and new nuts like the old nuts. i also got new nuts from lmc. but i am goign with either the old good bolts or some new hardware store bolts which ever is best for my truck. if you have the non flexomatic setup you will need 3 perside to do all of the bushing in the springs and the hangers. i had to buy the nuts seperatly. the bolts wwere also seperate. i think dennis carpenter sells the bushing botls and nuts as a kit per bushing. like 14.95 per bushing i think. i got 6 bushings and 6 nuts for almost 60.00 from lmc. i picked them up in person.
