Hello all. Been lurking around for many years now & decided to register.

I have a 71 sport custom that was my grandpas truck. He bought it new in 71.
He passed the truck on to me in 1992. I thought it was the coolest thing on 4 wheels. The truck spent the next 2 years in a friends shop under going a frame off resto. Everything on the truck was restored original right down to the ugly hub caps. The original 302 was treated to a top end rebuild (to factory specs.) & the rest of the drive train is original minus exhaust.

Im planning on doing some work on the old man, as its been sitting in the garage for about 8 years now. In the last 18 years I have had it, It has racked up a wopping 500 miles! Im planning on some cosmetic upgrades, (wheels tires ect). But for the most part its going to remain original. Drivetrain, color, all that jazz.

Stats on the old man:
1971 F-100 SportCustom
302 w/3 on the tree
9"rear with 3:25's
Raven black/Wimbledon white
Dual magnaflow muffs out the back

Going to post some pics asap, but my scanner has pooped the bed so I cant load any of my old pics. I'll get some new pics up as soon as it quits raining!

EDIT: Scanned some old pics redneck style for you guys (my scanner is down).. Better pics comming up as soon as the rain slacks up. These were taken just after we finished the truck. For a 13 year old kid, this was the coolest thing on the planet.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I wish the truck still looked as good now as it did when these pics were taken. Years of setting have taken a toll on the old timer. I'll get him back up to speed tho.
