Crew cab rear door glass
Has anyone had to replace the glass on the rear door? The front door is no problem for me, but I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. Any advice would be great - thanks!

I haven't changed one but it should be similar to the front. I've believe the glass is actually the same as the front. There is a good door tutorial in the tech section.

If you receive the LMC truck cataloge every month, there was a tutorial for the front windows in the last one. I think it was the spring cotaloge? Im not sure but that might help.

Did you try taking the window track's out? They should be bolted in. Get it unhooked from the regulator and in the bottom of the door try rolling the regulator up and bringing it out the hole in the bottom of the door if its big enough. If not then the glass may have to turn 90 degrees and come out the top of the door. I hope this helps you. if you find out how its done reply back and let everybody know.

re: Crew cab rear door glass
Well, I actually completed this over the weekend - it wasn't as bad as I thought.
I had to disassemble everything - remove the front track and the regulator. My glass was broken and I was replacing the glass only, so I didn't have to remove the fuzzy seals, but you would if you were replacing an assembled glass.
I prepared the holder (the part that connects the glass to the regulator) separately.
First slide the glass down through the door, and then rotate it towards the front of the truck so it is oriented correctly. Now install the front track and slide the glass up out of your way so you can install the regulator. Then install the holder to the regulator wheel and apply it to the bottom of the glass - be sure to align it correctly front-to back such that the regulator won't come out of it's track in operation.
Once the glass is applied to the holder, support it with a block of wood and tap the glass into the holder with a rubber mallet from above.
That should be it!
