87 merc grand marquise

Post by 390F100 »

I landed an 87 merc gand marquise for free with an excellent running drivetrain it ha a 302 in it. I know people have been swapping out front clips off the 06 model, my ? is it about the same process for this year marquise? for the rack and the entire front suspension going into a 68 f100 with a 390?

From what ive read the pre 03 models are all weld in cross members so it would add alot of fab work to the swap. not that i even know if the pre 03 front ends will go under our trucks.

td is right pre 03 is welded to the frame. You can adapt that front end to your existing frame if you want but its a little work, more than most will want to do. If your good with your hands it wont be that bad though.

Are these year model Marquis and full size FOMOCOs perimeter frames that run close to bottom of door, or is frame further toward center of body?
