Strange Question

How much does a Ford 390 weight approximately? Does anyone know? I am trying to estimate shipping and have no idea the weight. I am also shipping a C-6 trans any one know the weight on that?

around or a little over 650 pounds and the transmission weigh in at around
202 pounds ostly drained with a full torq converter and around 165 pounds mostly drained and without the torq converter

Thats not a strange question at all! A strange question would be something like, "Why are hemorrhoids called "hemorrhoids" instead of "asteroids"?" Or, after a musician has finished playing a song ask them, "Say, does that thing play real music??"

I weighed mine, without the carb, manifolds, it weighed in at 615 lbs. That is for the engine only, the trans I cannot say for sure, but my back said it was at least 150 lbs, and about 20 lbs for the converter
