My '68 CS rides much better with some weight in the bed...
You might try some steel plates or sand bags...
You don't have to worry 'bout losing gas milage...
My '68 averages 10mpg empty or haulin' a 1700 lb cabover camper.
3/4 ton rigs just ride stiff.. not really much you can do about it.
You can remove a leaf or two like 1971ford mentioned

my 67 f250 was very stiff i changed the shocks and if i went from the old split rims to some new radials it would be even better. and some weight in the back helps.

But back when these trucks were made comfort wasnt the highest on the priority list imo. the f100 is prett nice but a working truck is a working truck :lol but a bump would be a bump with out bouncing in the seat a little
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

well i hvae 9 leafs in my pack not including the overloads. i have two sets of overloads on top of that. i have about 2000 pounds of wood in the back and it still spun the tires with that inline six and didnt ride any better. my friend has a 89 f150 and it rides a hell of alot better than mine so i was thinking of getting some leafs from the junkyard only cause i dont know how much to pull out of my pack.

i noticed it real bad since i lifter the front end. now when i hit bumps it starts bucking and bouncing causing bump steer which is no good at 45+ mph on a two lane bridge or road.

thanks for the advice

I would leave your leafpacks alone and possibly pull the overloads.

3/4 ton rigs just ride rough...just a fact of life. These trucks were built to work hard.
