Rear Shocks - Correct P/N?

Post by 70F250CamperSpecial »

I am trying to get a set of Monroe Gas Magnums for the rear my 1970 F250 Camper Special. The shock that the parts store shows/gets for this truck does not have a stud on the top.; P/N 34958. Has anyone run across this, and if so do you have a P/N for the shock that will fit.

Thanks, Rob.

looks like the application that has the stud type top mount is the standard duty. #59562 But they don't make it in a "Magnum"

Heavy duty, crews and CS use. #34958 http://www.partsamerica.com/productdeta ... 50&PTSet=A

Up to '69 all F-series Fords had the eye top rear shock. From 70-72 they had the stud top. They can be converted very easily to which ever one you want.

I double checked my figures with LMC and and Autozone and all Fords from 70-79 had an stud type rear shock. That's weird convincor's has an eye hole. Anyways, the books have been wrong before.

Look at the links in post #3. The second is said to be for CS and crew.
If you look up f100, the had the stud top.
