someone please tell me why a person would use plastic king pin bushings?
I just dissassembled my king pins and there were plastic bushings, not metal ones in there. It came apart easy enough, so I'm thinking they wern't done too long ago, but they were sloppy.

Sure they aren't nylon? Nylon is sometimes used help stop corrosion, noise and vibrations. If put together properly they will last for a long time.

re: Why?
that's just wrong. seem to me any auto machine shop would be able to do it. It seems like too much work to do it very often with the plastic bushings.
thanks for the thoughts, it was baffeling me!
