Steering column wiring

I put a 79 steering column in a 68 f250 but I cannot get the wiring to hook up.Havin a hard time with turn signals and brake lights.Can anyone help ?

I have a 78 tilt in mine. Here are the matches I used. There are alot of discrepencies, but this worked for me. I wired the plug that I cut off the 78 truck to the plug I cut off my 72 column and used it as an adapter. Here is a link to my post:

Here is a page with links to wiring diagrams.
If you can figure out which wire does what in your column, you should be able to get it properly wired.

look at the color of the wires behind the plug they should match really close. i did the same swap 79 to 68 and they all matched perfect, except the 79 had cruise on the collum, i just did'nt use it.

I have tried everything matching all colors with colors.This is not working.Would you happen to know which one is the ground wire?

I believe the column is grounded solely by the bolting to the grounded brake pedal bracket and dash.

None of the colors go together. What a nightmare! Ive tried everything I must be missing something?
