Swap everything underneath?
The other day when I was pulling a part from a junkyard truck it dawned on me that the 1970 F-250 Camper Special I was pulling the part from was in a lot better shape than my '72 F-100 the part was going into. Now, I don't really care for the ride and the height of a 250 so I was wondering about a suspension swap. Put my '72 F-100 suspension under a 70 F-250. I know I am crazy, but has anybody done this before?

Should work just fine. As long as the rear leaf spring length is the same it all should cross right over. Just make sure to use the right front springs to match the motor you have. I think the FE springs are rated for more weight that the small V8/straight 6 springs are.

Honestly, I really would rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy.

I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

re: Swap everything underneath?
Thanks. I'd just move everything onto my 100 but that '72 is a rusted, mixed up mess that I have spent most of my time trying to figure out what and why previous owners did what they did. I just hope that this yard doesn't want a fortune for the truck when they get back to me. It could turn out to be one of those "finds" you hear about but never believe.
