Bushings

Post by 67mann »

:? Would there be two different bushing(leaf spring/flex-o-matic)sizes on a 67f250CS-The reason I ask ,is: My 67 came with a prothane kit(which I put to use on my 70)that has 2 different size bushings. Just curios--I got the larger size installed and the smaller size is to sloppy to use.
I've had enough and I'm not alone

I bought the prothane kit for my 68 f100. It was kind of a universal kit that included leaf spring bushings for the 67-72 narrow springs and the 73-79 wider springs. I also found that on my f100 none of the leaf spring bushings worked. The flex-o-matic bushings were larger than the standard leaf spring bushings so I had to buy the flex-o-matic specific rear leaf spring bushing kit.

The bushings required me to cut the outer sleeve out of the springs and shackle.
