difference Chevy & Ford

Post by worldsmysterie »

What is the difference in the chevy brake booster and a ford. im asking this because awhile back i got my brakes redone and the guy at the shop said he couldn't use the booster (i ordered it) because it was for a chevy. how could i tell if he was lieing. i know sometimes they tell you this things cause they want to use there own parts? if there are any mechanics out there SORRY> thanks

get the part no and take it to a parts store and have em run it for you. if you can use it i would take it to a different machanic. maybe get a chiltons and hanes tech book and do it yourself if you want. get experiance and save some money.

Quick check on rockauto.com shows different aftermarket part numbers and the pics look different. Compared a 1970 F100 with a 302 to a 1970 C10 with a 307.
