I've looked all over and can't find a step by step to remove the front drums on my 1/2 ton 4x4...
I did find a nice schematic drawing on this site but dummy me needs a "how-to", also...
I've got Warn hubs if that matters...
Any input is appreciated!

Take the wheel off and pull on the drum, should come right off with a little prying.
My waste oil centrifuge is built from a 1/2 ton 4x4 front hub assembly, but I flipped the drum upside down so I'm not sure how it was when it was on the axle anymore, looks like there's nothing holding the drums on. The 3/4 tons had screws to hold the drums on.

To remove the drum only, you should only have to remove the wheel first. The drum is not fastened to the hub, you can leave it alone.
The drum should slip off the wheel studs.
Some trucks had small screws in the drum that had to be removed, I don't think your truck does but I can not remember for sure.
Some times the brake shoes are pressed against the drum and make sliding it off difficult, especially if there is a lip worn in the drum. A few sharp blows with a hammer and wiggling/prying on the drum will usually brake it loose from the shoes. Sometimes you have to back the adjusters off to get the drum loose, but not very often.

Ooohhh... I thought there was some lock rings or spindle nuts to deal with before the drum could come off.
I'll ease into it and see what I discover...
