hey guys,
I need to get the new frame together so I can put the cab on it as soon as the body work is done. Problem is the front leaf spring mounts on the rear were taken off by the previous owner for some reason. I know I should get some grade 8 bolts to bolt them back on but any recommendations on the size? I dont want them to long and dont want them to short either. Plus is a lock washer good enough on the back side? I want to do this once and thats it. I had a bronco once that someone replaced some bolts on the front suspension and the bolts kept coming loose no matter what I did and it shook so bad I had to keep pulling over and tightening the bolts up..loc tite didnt even work..had to get them welded Just thought Id get some feed back before I go off and grab some bolts. thanks.
Tony
Get the bolts long enough to go through all the parts plus a washer on both sides, plus the nut. Use the crimp type (all metal top) lock nuts, don't get the Nylon lock nuts for this...

I'm not "Brand Loyal" Ford-Chevy-Dodge-Toyota I have them all, one even cross mixed...
If it Looks good and Works good then it's ok by me. Everything has its issues from time to time...
